Keeping a pet is a sad thing, such as a cat or dog for a long time eventually one day to see it leaves.

They can live until at least 65 years old, some special varieties can also live to 100 years old.
There are many species of parrots, and macaws generally have the longest life span.
Parrots are very diverse, with 2 families, 82 genera, and 358 species, making them one of the largest families of the birds' order.
They are mainly found in tropical forests, and there are as many as 17 species of macaws among them.
And macaws are one of the longer-lived parrot species.
Especially the medium and large macaws have a long life span generally between 40-65 years.
In contrast, other species of parrots do not live as long as macaws.

1. The longest-lived large-bodied parrot is the colorful macaw

It is very large, 84-89 cm in length, and weighs 900-1490 g.
It can live up to 80-110 years in an artificial environment.
2. The longest-lived small parrot is the red-shouldered macaw
The red-shouldered macaw is the smallest and most miniature of the long-lived macaws.
It has a body length of 30-34 cm and a weight of 130-170 grams. The whole body feathers are green and the underwing feathers are red.
The face has whitish skin which is characteristic of all macaws.
Red-shouldered macaws are widely and successfully bred and raised in many countries.
Raised from a young age, the Red-shouldered Macaw is perfect as a pet. The life span is up to about 80 years.
3. The friendliest macaws are the red and green macaws.
The greatest feature of macaws is their powerful beaks.
Some people are always worried about whether the parrot will peck people with its beak.
Birds also have a variety of personalities, the red and green macaw is a large macaw that is particularly friendly to humans.
It is 90 cm long and weighs about 1600 grams.
Although its large beak looks intimidating, it does not actively attack humans.
