Tiramisu is a beloved Italian dessert that layers espresso-soaked ladyfingers with creamy mascarpone, creating a rich and luxurious treat.
This no-bake classic is perfect for impressing guests or indulging in a special moment at home. So, Lykkers, ready to dive into layers of pure delight? Let's make some tiramisu!

Tiramisu Recipe

Ingredients:

6 large egg yolks
¾ cup granulated sugar
1 cup mascarpone cheese, room temperature
1 ½ cups heavy cream
1 ½ cups strong brewed espresso or coffee, cooled
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
24-30 ladyfingers (Savoiardi)
Unsweetened cocoa powder for dusting
Dark chocolate shavings (optional)

Directions:

Make the Cream Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the egg yolks and sugar until pale and creamy. Add the mascarpone cheese and vanilla extract, and continue to whisk until smooth and well combined.
Whip the Cream: Whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form in another bowl. Carefully fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until it is creamy and smooth.
Prepare the Coffee Dip: In a shallow dish, combine the cooled espresso with the coffee (if using).
Layer the Tiramisu: Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture, ensuring they are soaked but not soggy. Arrange a layer of soaked ladyfingers in the bottom of a 9x13-inch dish or a similar-sized serving dish. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the layer of ladyfingers. Add another layer of soaked ladyfingers, then top with the remaining mascarpone mixture.
Chill: Cover the dish with plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, or overnight, to let the flavors meld together.
Serve: Before serving, dust the top with unsweetened cocoa powder and sprinkle with dark chocolate shavings if desired. Serve chilled.

Conclusion

Tiramisu is the perfect blend of coffee, cream, and sweetness—an Italian dessert that delivers pure indulgence in every bite.
